Software packages to calculate global and local morphological characteristics of point processes:

minkowski1 (ANSI C)

... calculates global averages of Minkowski functionals (quermass integrals) for a given point process; the package is applicable to periodic data and contains a parallelized version.

minkowski2 (ANSI C)

... calculates global averages of Minkowski functionals (quermass integrals) for a given point process; the package includes exact boundary corrections applicable to arbitrary boundary geometries (including periodic data).

An update 2.1. of this package is available from Martin Kerscher's site

minkowski3 (ANSI C)

... calculates global averages of Minkowski functionals (quermass integrals) for a given density field or a smoothed point process; the package is applicable to periodic data.

Here is a README file of this program

minkowski4 (ANSI C)

... is a completely revised version of a code used to compute the Minkowski Functionals (MFs) of point data sets, which was originally written by Jens Schmalzing and Andreas Rabus in 1998, now rewritten by Matthias Ostermann and Alexander Wiegand. CHIPMINK calculates the partial MFs of a given point data set by means of the germ grain model, then them adds up and determines the global densities (global MFs normalized by the density of the point sample). It comes in the MINKOWSKI-4 package, the fourth in a series of codes that have been written for the calculation of the Minkowski Functionals of point sets.

...soon available:

minkowski5 (ANSI C)

... calculates vector-valued Minkowski functionals and associated curvature centroids, suitable for the analysis of galaxy clusters.
